Two different solutions
Two ways to fit it. One decision to make.
This is the part that stalls people for months. It shouldn't. The entire choice comes down to which side of the worktop the sink goes in from.
Drop-in
The sink is lowered into the worktop from above. Its rim rests on the surface.
Integrated
The sink is fixed from below — either undermounted or flushmounted.
Also sold as: sit-on, inset, top-mount (drop-in) and undermount, flush-fit, level-fit (integrated). Same two ideas, different showroom vocabulary.

01 — Drop-in

The forgiving one. A straight cut-out, the bowl drops in, the rim seals against the surface. It works with almost any worktop — laminate, timber, composite, stone — and it's the fastest, least invasive fit in the range.
- Smart edge — 20 mm wide, 6 mm high. A rim thin enough to read as a line, not a lip.
- Deep bowl — room for the roasting tin, not just the mugs.
- Minimal radius corners — sharp architecture, still easy to wipe out.
- Extra-compact rectangular overflow — discreet, not a chrome bullseye.
- Integrated waste cover — the plughole disappears into the bowl.
Choose drop-in if: you're keeping your existing worktop, or you want the simplest possible installation.

02 — Integrated
Fitted from below.
The one that makes people ask who did your kitchen. With no rim on the surface, crumbs sweep straight off the worktop into the bowl and there's no seam to trap grime. Two ways to do it:
- Undermount — the sink hangs just beneath the worktop, so the cut edge of the surface forms the opening.
- Flushmount — the sink is set so its top is dead level with the worktop. The most exacting fit in the collection.
- Invisible junction — worktop and bowl read as one continuous surface.
- Deep bowl, minimal radius, extra-compact rectangular overflow and integrated waste cover, as standard.
Choose integrated if: you're fitting a new solid worktop — FENIX, composite, quartz or stone — and you want the cleanest surface in the room.

The FENIX sink collection is produced by Elleci S.p.A. in an innovative matt composite developed specifically for sink manufacture — ceramic nanoparticles blended with six advanced acrylic resins, finished to sit alongside the FENIX look and feel.
The result is a bowl that behaves better than it has any right to at this price.

Is a "sit-on" sink the same as a drop-in?
In everyday use, yes — most UK retailers use sit-on, inset, top-mount and drop-in to mean the same thing: fitted from above with the rim on the worktop. Strictly, a traditional sit-on sink covers the whole base unit with no worktop beneath it, which is a much older kitchen format. If you have a standard worktop with a cut-out, drop-in is what you want.
Can I put an integrated sink in a laminate worktop?
Not recommended. Undermounting exposes the cut edge of the worktop to standing water, which laminate and most timber surfaces won't tolerate long-term. Integrated fitting is for solid surfaces — FENIX, composite, quartz, granite. On laminate, choose drop-in.
What's the real difference between undermount and flushmount?
Both fix from below. Undermount hangs the bowl slightly beneath the surface, so you see the cut edge of the worktop at the opening. Flushmount sets the sink so its top edge finishes exactly level with the worktop — a tighter tolerance, a flatter plane, and the more demanding fit of the two.
Do I need a professional installer?
Drop-in is well within reach of a competent DIY fit. Integrated — undermount or flushmount — should be templated and fitted by your worktop supplier or a kitchen fitter, because the cut-out and the fixings are done as part of the surface.
How do I keep the matt finish looking new?
Warm water and a soft cloth for daily use; a non-abrasive cream cleaner for anything stubborn. The lotus-effect surface does most of the work — avoid wire wool and harsh scouring pads and it will stay matt and even.
